KHOROG, November 12, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Men’s volley team of Gorno Badakhshan that has won the 2008 national volleyball championship has become a triple champion of Tajikistan.   

The national volleyball championship was held in Dushanbe on November 2-9 and eight teams, including teams of Gorno Badakhshan, Dushanbe, Khatlon and Sughd, participated in the championship.  The GBAO volleyball players won the championship, beating all seven competitors. 

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Naghzibek Oshourmamadov, the chief coach of the GBAO volleyball team, said the team consisted of students at Khorog University, employees of different organizations and senior school students.  “It is the third victory of the GBAO men’s volleyball team in the national championships,” Oshourmamadov.
