DUSHANBE, September 3, 2012, Asia-Plus — India Blooms News Service (IBNS) reports Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said on Monday that India hopes to see an early accession of Tajikistan to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

In his statement to the media after the delegation level talks during the state visit of Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, Singh said both the leaders are in agreement on the need to enhance their trade and investment relations.

“I conveyed to President Rahmon our desire to see an early accession of Tajikistan to the WTO, which would assist in enhancing our bilateral trade,” said Singh.

To intensify developmental partnership, India has offered to undertake a series of development projects in Tajikistan.
