KHUJAND, October 11, 2012, Asia-Plus — The second international economic forum entitled “Investment Potential of Sughd Province” kicked off in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province today.

Organized by the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) “Sughd” in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and Sughd Regional Government, the forum is serving as platform for presenting potential of Tajikistan and Sughd province, establishing ties with business and scientific circles of various countries and discussing issues related to further cooperation, attraction of investments and exchange of experience.

The two-day forum has given business community an opportunity to present its investment projects and proposals on cooperation and find potential investors and partners, a source at FEZ “Sughd” said.

The event has reportedly brought together representatives of financial institutions, public associations and international organizations active in the country as well as representatives of foreign and domestic business structures and chambers of commerce and industry from a number of foreign countries.
