DUSHANBE, January 6, Asia-Plus – On Thursday January 6, First Deputy Dushanbe Mayor, Pulod Muhiddinov, presided over a meeting of a special city commission for controlling work of the city’s communal services in the winter period.  

Telling the meeting Mr. Muhiddinov noted that a hotline had been organized for receiving information about problems emerging with providing the population, economic, social and cultural facilities in the city with electricity, gas and heat, and fuel in the winter period.

electricity, water, gas and heat supply systems reported on work carried out by their facilities following applications of the city-dwellers.  

During the meeting it was noted that they had failed to remove shortcomings on two of 36 applications received from citizens about problems with electricity supply.  

 Participants at the meeting noted that cases of use by city-dwellers of heating electrical appliances, including the home-made ones, had been reported in all districts of Tajik capital, which was the main cause of accidents in the city’s electric system.  

Members of the commission recommended to more actively carrying out explanatory work among the population on observance of rules of use of gas ad electrical appliances.
