DUSHANBE, January 23, Asia-Plus  — A cultural meeting entitled “Tajikistan: Culture and Traditions of the People” was held in the assembly hall of the “Oriental Culture” Museum in Moscow at the end of last week, Asia-Plus has learned from Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Moscow.  

Orientalists and lovers of Tajik art and dancing as well as representatives from the Tajik Diaspora in

attended the meeting.    

“Despite cold weather many lovers of Eastern culture came to listen traditional Tajik ethnographic music,” said Egamzod, “Chairman of the “Noor” Public Association Lashkarbekov and the Second Secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Dushanbe Odinayev addressed the meeting.”

According to the Tajik Embassy spokesman, members of the Tajik ensemble of folk music performed a concert.  “On recommendation of the Embassy, they will represent the Tajik Diaspora in an international festival of national cultures in
