DUSHANBE, February 10, Asia-Plus  — On Friday February 10, First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Abdulmajid Dostiyev, received a group of students, winner of the Khatlon regional contest for civic education.  

During the meeting, Mr. Dostiyev briefed them on a history of parliamentarism in

, beginning from the period of Samanids’ state, on the country’s Constitution adopted in 1994, as well as amendments made the country’s basic law during the referenda of 1999 and 2003.  

Tajik MP also informed them of a procedure of preparation, endorsement, adoption and signing of laws of the


Republic

of

Tajikistan


.   

The students also attended a meeting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee for Public Order, Defense and Security and received answers to their questions.
