DUSHANBE, March 1, Asia-Plus — The construction of a five-star “Hyatt Regency” Hotel in Dushanbe will officially commence today afternoon.  The hotel is scheduled to be finished in May-June 2007 and the estimated budget for the construction of this hotel is some US$65 million. 

The company “Russkiye Oteli” (Russian Hotels) will invest in the project and its affiliate – the limited liability company “Sozidaniye” – will act as contractor.  The general contractor for this project is “ENKA Insaat Ve Sanayi A.Sh.”  An agreement on management of the hotel was signed between Hyatt International (EAME) LLC and “Sozidaniye.”

A delegation of the “Russkiye Oteli” company led by its director general Stanislav Kapinson, as well as senior representatives from “Hyatt” and “ENKA Insaat Ve Sanayi A.Sh.” companies are arriving in Dushanbe today morning to attend the hotel groundbreaking ceremony.  Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov is also supposed to attend an official ceremony of the commencement of the hotel construction.  

According to Ms. Yelena Guryanova, head of the “Russkiye Oteli” PR department, a press conference will be held at the “Kokhi Borbad” Complex following the ceremony. 

The hotel’s infrastructure includes 12-story building with 242 rooms, business center, conference chamber for 200 people, negotiation rooms, fitness-center, entertainment complex and three restaurants.  

The work on the Dushanbe Hyatt Regency Hotel began in summer 2005.  The architectural concept has been worked out by the NBBJ company.  

The company “Russkiye Oteli” was founded in September 2004 for managing investment projects on the commercial real estate market.  Over the past period, the company has implemented a number of investment projects in Yerevan (Armenia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Novosibirsk, Abakan and Sochi.

Currently, there are an additional 30 Hyatt hotels and resorts under development.
