DUSHANBE, March 20, Asia-Plus – Over the first two months of the year, an overall space of 5,568 square meters in residential buildings have been made available in Tajikistan, which is 872 square meters more than in January-February 2005, according to figures provided by Tajikistan’s State Committee for Statistics.  

The source says residential buildings in the republic over the same tow-months have been constructed mainly by entities of the non-governmental sector, a considerable portion of which is taken up by the people.

In the territorial cross section the proportions of spaces in residential buildings made available in January-February were: Khatlon province – 49 percent (2,673 square meters); Sughd province – 28.8 percent (1,606 square meters); districts subordinate to the center – 13.8 percent (772 square meters) and
