banks have been reinforced with 15,000 concrete works.

Peoples involved in the rehabilitation works are provided with all necessary things and receive monthly wages from 200 to 300 Somonis, according to the source.

Floods that hit the Hamadoni district last summer caused serious damage to the district’s economy.  412 residential buildings were destroyed and more than 2,000 people were left homeless.  The floods also damaged 412 kilometers of roads, three bridges and dozens of other economic facilities in the district.

More than 1,500 families were evacuated to safe places, and the flood-hit people have received 389,850 Somonis.

Irrigation canals Chubek and Dehqonobod have been rehabilitated and since March 30 they have supplied water to agricultural fields in Hamadoni.  Some 10 million Somonis have been spent for rehabilitating these irrigation canals.  5.65 million Somonis provided from the country’s budget last year for rehabilitation works have been assimilated completely.

1.5 million Somonis have been provided for continuing rehabilitation works since the beginning of the year, and further 3 million Somonis will be provided for these purposes in near future.
