DUSHANBE, April 14, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan is working out a new Economic-Procedural Code.

Jalol Isroilov, a judge with Tajikistan’s Higher Economic Court, says workout of the new economic-procedural code has been caused by demands of time.

Under the code, which is currently in effect in Tajikistan, economic courts in the regions do have their appeals boards and for appealing against ruling made by courts of first instance the dissatisfied side has to go to Dushanbe and appeal to Tajikistan’s Higher Economic Court,” Mr. Isroilov said.

He has noted that the new Economic-Procedural Code will give an opportunity to appeal against decision of the first instance in the region, where it is located.

“The Higher Economic Court has some 50 remarks to the present Economic-Procedural Code and we have submitted these remarks for consideration,” the judge said.

At present Tajikistan has economic courts of first instance in Gorno Badakhshan, Dushanbe, Khatlon and Sughd provinces and the Higher Economic Court.
