on Wednesday [April 19] for a ten-day working visit. 

According to information from the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), the purpose of the visit is for the bank’s mission to assess the IDB activity in


Tajikistan


over the past decade.  

The NBT source says that during their stay in


Dushanbe


the IDB experts have held meetings with senior representatives from


Tajikistan


’s ministries of economy, finance, and other organizations to discuss the results of the IDB-sponsored projects implemented in the republic.  

According to the source, the IDB mission is also studying the investment climate and relations of


Tajikistan


with other CIS states.  

The IDB mission includes chief macro-economist Farid al-Hassan, consultants Mahmoud Yahya and Abdle Bashir as well as the IDB Almaty Office project officer Alma Isabayeva.  

The IDB mission will stay in


Tajikistan


till April 28.
