DUSHANBE, May 12, Asia-Plus – A two-day roundtable meeting with participation of senior representatives from Arab investment funds is supposed to open in Dushanbe on May 15. 

Issues of preparations for holding of this roundtable meeting were discussed at a working meeting presided over by President Emomali Rahmonov today, presidential press service reported.  

Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov and heads of relevant ministries and organizations took part in the meeting’s work.  The meeting considered issues related to working out new investment projects aimed at enhancement of

’s energy, agrarian, education and transportation sectors.  

President Rahmonov ordered relevant officials to thoroughly discuss all projects that will be submitted for consideration to Arab investors.  Head of state also pointed to the necessity of targeted use funds provided for implementation of those projects.  

According to information from the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT), senior representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Islamic Development (IDB), Kuwaiti and Saudi Development Funds and the OPEC are expected to attend the roundtable meeting in
