DUSHANBE, May 17, Asia-Plus — First Deputy Defense Minister, Lieutenant-General Ramil Nadyrov has left for Moscow to attend a working meeting of heads of general staff of the armed forces from countries making up the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) that will be held in Moscow on May 18.  

According to information from the Ministry of Defense (MoD), the meeting is aiming to consider prospects of further development of the military component of the Organization.  Participants at the meeting will discuss preparation of national formations (contingents) and improvement of the system of management of the Collective Rapid Deployment Force of the Central Asian region.  

Heads of general staff of the armed forces from Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan are attending the meeting in Moscow, according to MoD source.
