DUSHANBE, May 17, Asia-Plus — A tot al debt of the public and organizations of the Tajik capital to Dushanbe’s municipal waterworks “Dushanbe Vodokanal” (DVK) has to date amounted to 14 million Somonis.   

            Raids made by the municipal waterworks last week revealed enterprises and organizations having a total debt of 342,000 Somonis.  These organizations and enterprises have been cut off from water supply.   

The municipal waterworks said that among those organizations were the “Torgmash” plant having a debt of more than 88,000 Somonis, Dushanbe Circus (1,500 Somonis), “Barakat” market (more than 4,500 Somonis), Planning Institute “Giprozem” (some 12,000 Somonis), etc.

Work on inspecting enterprises and organizations is ongoing, according to the source.
