In December 2003, Shahzoda was hospitalized in a very hard state.  It is already two years that doctors have fought for her life.  Following numerous chemical therapy performances the girl has completely weaken.   

Shahzoda urgently needs marrow transplant operation.  Such an operation may be performed at the

.  The donor will be her sister.   

A total cost of the treatment is US$50,000.  Shahzoda’s parents who work as teachers at Schools # 13 in Khujand do have such a big money in their disposal.

Zaripov has stressed that their little patients need expensive medical treatment while the Center’s funds are not enough to provide them with such a treatment.  On the assistance provided to the Center, Asadullo Zaripov says it happens very rarely, noting that there have been actions conducted by the Project “HOPE” and the UNDP Country Office in
