, June 1, Asia-Plus – The correspondent point of “Safina, the second channel of Tajik national TV, is opening in Kulob today.   

According to information from the “Safina” headquarters in


Dushanbe


, the correspondent point of “Safina” in Kulob will serve ten districts in the east part (Kulob area) of the Khatlon province.  “Today a special equipment will be installed in Kulob and our channel will broadcast over the Kulob area within the next few days,” the source said. 

Shirinjon Safarov has been appointed to the post of head of the “Safina” correspondent point in Kulob.  At first the correspondent point will be housed in the building of the Kulob mayor’s office and in August, when the up-to-date TV center is put into operation in Kulob it will move to this center.   

The “Safina” channel has to date had his correspondent points in Khujand and Qurghon Teppa.  The “Safina” leadership plans to open its correspondent point in Khorog as well.
