According to the source, Ibrahim Gambari intends to hold talks with Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov, Chairman of the Committee for Protection of the State Border of Tajikistan Saydami Zuhurov, First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) Abdulmajid Dostiyev, member of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) Hoji Akbar Turajonzoda, Tajikistan’s Islamic Revival Party  (IRPT) head Said Abdullo Nuri as well as heads of the UN agencies active in Tajikistan. 

The talks are supposed to focus on problems of development of trade and economic relations and trans-border cooperation, fight against religious extremism, organized crime, terrorism and drug trafficking in the region.   A special attention will be paid to
