” has caused a lively discussion among Tajik parliamentarians.  They have opposed the bills’ provisions concerning licensing state-run pre-school facilities, and schools. 

A regular sitting of the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) of the third convocation presided over by its chairman Saydullo Khairulloyev was held on June 14.  

Deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon agreed with a considerable reduction of a number of types of activity liable to licensing.  At the same time, they opposed the provisions concerning licensing state-run pre-school facilities, schools and vocational-technical schools in the country. 

            Commenting on this amendment, the head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Energy, Industry, and Construction Mirzosharif Islomiddinov that a number of countries had such a practice.  

Speaker Khairulloyev set up a working group, which considered in details the disputable aspects of the bill, and parliamentarians decided to consider the bill after preliminary study of the same laws being in effect in other member countries of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC).

The session also postponed the consideration of a bill “On Other Binding Payments in the Budget.”

Parliamentarians also endorsed a bill on changes and addenda made to the RT Law “On Weapons.”
