, June 28, Asia-Plus – The State Committee for Management of State-owned Property has approved individual projects for restructuring “Tojikcement” (

cement plant) and open joint-stock company (OJSC) “Tojiktelecom” (Tajik state-run telecommunications operator).  

At the same time, the source in the Committee for Management of the State-owned Property has told Asia-Plus that the terms of the implementation of these projects have not yet been fixed.  “It is necessary to many technical and financial issues and only after that we will be able to speak about privatization of them or change of form of their property,” the source said.  

More than 30 individual projects for restructuring large enterprises have been submitted for consideration to the Committee, but many of them have been remitted for further reviewing, the Asia-Plus interlocutor said.  

As it had been reported earlier, individual projects for restructuring 28 large enterprises, including “Naftrason” (oil product supply), “Barqi Tojik” electric power holding, Tojikgaz (Tajik state gas concern), Tajik national air carrier “Tojikiston”, Tajik Railways and others, should be submitted to the State Committee for Management of State-owned Property by the end of this year.
