According to information from the Tajik border service, their troops on a routine patrol spotted two Afghan drug traffickers who were illegally crossing the border river in the area near the

in the Shurobod district late Friday.  When the border troops tried to detain the trespassers, the last opened fire at them and returned to the contiguous territory.  No injured was reported among the border guards, according to the source.  

A sack containing 28.5 kilograms of heroin, one sub-machine-gun “Kalashnikov and inflatable rubber dinghy were found on the spot.  Investigation is under way.
