According to Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary of the Tajik Embassy in


Moscow


, the correspondent point was opened within the framework of an agreement between


Tajikistan


and


Russia


on information cooperation signed in October 2004.  

At present only one person, Khurshed Saidakhtamov, is working with the first channel’s correspondent point in


Moscow


.   

According to Egamzod, at present five representatives offices of Tajik media are operating in


Moscow


: “Khovar” national news agency (Halima Khushqadamova); “Charkhi Gardun” media holding (Ghufron Vahhobov); “Minbari Khalq”, official paper of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan (Shamsuddin Boboyev); “Avesta” news agency (Ilhom Mahkamov); and “Asia-Plus” news agency (Irada Guseynova).
