Tajikistan


’s Drug Control Agency (DCA) met in


Dushanbe


with visiting experts from the OSCE Secretariat.   

According to information from the DCA, the main purpose of the visit is for the OSCE experts to study the drug situation in Tajikistan, a role of the DCA in fighting drug trafficking and its interaction with other law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan, as well as problems of regional and international cooperation in fighting drug trafficking.  

The source says the OSCE experts familiarized themselves with structure and tasks of the DCA, its departments and services.  

“The results of this meeting and other meetings with senior representatives from the Tajik power-wielding structures that will last till July 29 will be reported to the OSCE Secretariat in

,” the source said, noting that a meeting of representatives from the drug enforcement agencies of

Europe

Asia

will be held in

in October this year.  Representatives from

have also been invited to attend this meeting, according to the source.
