DUSHANBE, August 11, Asia-Plus – Central Asian international camp formally titled “Participation of Youth in Development of Country and Region”, which ended in the “Tau Samal” resort near the Kazakh city of Almaty on August 10.

According to information from the Youth Committee under the Tajik Government, 23 youth from Tajikistan took part at that international camp.  

The main objective of this event was in giving young leaders from five countries of Central Asia an opportunity to exchange views on ideas and experience, discuss ways and mechanisms to promote participation of youth in decision-making processes.  

“Youth aged 16 to 23 from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have been competitively selected for participating at this camp,” said the Asia-Plus interlocutor, “Speakers at the event included Kobirjon Jurayev, deputy head of the Tajik Youth Committee, parliament speakers from Russia, Moldova and Slovenia.” 

The event was organized by the World Bank and “Young Leaders’ Association” public organization in the person of Kazakhstan’s Youth Congress, according to the source.
