DUSHANBE, September 1, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan values its traditionally friendly relationships with Uzbekistan, President Emomali Rahmonov says in his telegram of congratulations sent to his Uzbek counterpart, President Islam Karimov, on occasion of the 15

anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence.  

The telegram, in particular, says that over the past fifteen years, Uzbekistan has made considerable successes in developing its economy and raising people’s welfare and has become an active member of international community immutably coming out for providing regional security and stability.  

“Fruitful mutually beneficial relationships between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan meet national interests of our countries and are important factor of stability and prosperity in Central Asia,” the telegram said.
