DUSHANBE, September 5, Asia-Plus — The seventh session of the council of the CIS finance control chiefs is being held in the Belarus capital city of Minsk today.

The session has brought together senior representatives from the finance control agencies of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine.

Sharif Mulloyev, the deputy head of Tajikistan’s State Finance Control Committee, has told Asia-Plus the meeting is aiming to consider issues related to an efficient use of external investments and state funds.  Participants at the meeting also will exchange views on activities of the finance control agencies in their countries.  

The session is supposed to result in adoption of a resolution on a role of the finance control agencies in improvement of national legislation, as well as on interaction between the finance control and the law enforcement agencies in organizing inspection activities, according to the Asia-Plus interlocutor.    

A scientific-practical conference to assess effectiveness of methods of use of investments for economic development will be held on the sidelines of the CIS finance control chiefs’ session in Minsk.
