Thailand’s prime minister pays short visit to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, September 12, Asia-Plus – Thailand’s Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra arrived in Tajikistan for a short visit on September 9 accompanied by a Thai delegation. 

The same day, Shinawatra met with Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov. The meeting focused on establishing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various economic fields.  Tajikistan intends to study of Thailand’s experience in combating drug trafficking.

Their meeting was followed by talks between delegations of the two countries. The sides considered a broad range of issues related to trade and economic cooperation, resulting in the signing of a number of documents on bilateral cooperation.
