DUSHANBE, September 14, Asia-Plus – The Dushanbe mayor has sacked the head of department for coordination of decorating and advertising activity at the Dushanbe mayor’s office and urged the deputy mayor and head of the Dushanbe culture department and antimonopoly commission to improve work on decorative and advertising activity in the city.

anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said Ubaidulloyev had expressed gratitude to all participants in the theatrical show and called on the creative groups to use such events for propagation of cultural and historical values of the Tajik people in future as well.  “The mayor criticized shortcomings in the festive decoration of the city,” said Shavkat Saidov, “Parviz Ruzimatov was relieved of his post of the director of the self-financing department for coordination of decorating and advertising activity at the Dushanbe mayor’s office for failing to organize the department activity properly.” 

According to Saidov, Ubaidulloyev urged the deputy mayor Jamshed Mansourov and heads of the Dushanbe culture department and antimonopoly agency to take measures to improve decorating work in the city.  “Besides, concrete orders were made on collection of funds from the public and enterprises for public utilities,” Shavkat Saidov said, noting that the next working meeting will discuss preparations for the winter.
