DUSHANBE, September 25, Asia-Plus – The Dushanbe legislature (Majlis) today confirmed powers of its two newly elected members: deputy mayor Zokirjon Muhiddinov, elected at constituency # 48, and rector of Transport Institute Olimjon Boboyev, elected at constituency # 57.

Husnoro Mirzoyeva, chairwoman of the city electoral commission, was supposed to report on the results of elections in the mentioned constitutions.  However, she did not appear at the session, and following this, Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev sacked the head of the organizational department at the Dushanbe mayor’s office Sodiq Murodjonov and reprimanded the head of the mayor’s apparatus Vosif Rustamov.  

The mayor reported on the results of the elections by himself.
