DUSHANBE, October 12, Asia-Plus – Within the next few days, a group of employees from the Tajik State Finance Control Committee will travel to Budapest to familiarize themselves with activity of their Hungarian colleagues, Tajik finance control chief Abdujabbor Shirinov told journalists in Dushanbe on October 11.  

According to him, Tajik auditors will stay in Budapest for a week and then will travel to London to meet with their British colleagues.  

Shirinov noted that this project sponsored by the World Bank is aimed at improvement of activity of the finance control agency in Tajikistan.  He added that at present  two experts from British National Audit Office are conducting training for Tajik auditors on improvement of the fianc? control agency’s activity.

“They have studied the country’s audit legislation and the activity of the finance control committee and hailed Tajikistan’s achievements in this sphere as a whole,” said the Tajik finance control chief, “However, they pointed to the necessity of taking measures to improve the committee’s activity and making amendments to some laws in order to provide transparency of the audit bodies’ activity.
