DUSAHNBE, October 13, Asia-Plus – Visiting delegation of Ivanovo State University (Russia) yesterday met with Tajik Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov to discuss cooperation issues.

The minister said in an interview with Asia-Plus that their talks had focused on further expansion of cooperation between higher educational institutions of the two countries.  

Yesterday afternoon, the delegation also visit Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU) in Dushanbe and met with its administration.  The RTSU pro-rector for studies Ilan Tupaylo said that representatives from Ivanovo University familiarized themselves with activity of RTSU.  The meeting resulted in signing of a cooperation agreement between the two higher educational institutions.  The agreement includes exchange of students and invitation of teachers from Ivanovo University to deliver lectures to the RTSU students.  

Today, representatives from the Russian delegation handed over a bulk of textbooks to school # 20 in Dushanbe.
