DUSHANBE, November 8, Asia-Plus — First 520 conscripts drafted into the Tajik border troops have taken the oath

According to the Tajik border service, Colonel-General Saydamir Zuhurov, commander of Tajikistan’s border troops, attended the oath-taking ceremony that was held at the Training Center of the Tajik State Border Protection Committee in Dushanbe on November 8.  

The border service source said that after taking a short training course the border guards will be sent for service to the border units and frontier posts.

Today, 200 other conscripts also took the oath at the frontier post Halqayor of the Panj border unit in the Khatlon province, according to the source.    

Taking into consideration the specific character of service in the border troops, the military recruitment offices select conscripts for serving in the border troops in cooperation with the security and interior bodies.
