DUSHANBE, December 19, Asia-Plus – Issues related to improvement of electricity and natural-gas supplies were discussed at a meeting presided over by President Emomali Rahmonov on December 18.  Senior representatives from the ministries of energy and industry, agriculture, education, health and economy attended the meeting.  

According to presidential press service, the meeting also discussed a progress of the construction of the Sangtuda-1 power plant, preparation of agricultural machines for the spring sowing campaign, as well as the result of work of education and health sectors.  

The president demanded at the meeting that all existing shortcomings should be removed and aid should be provided to orphan children, veterans, elderly people who do not have relatives to support and the military servicemen on the occasion of the upcoming New Year holiday.
