Interior minister replaces GBAO police department chief

KHOROG, December 25, Asia-Plus – Minister of interiors of Tajikistan has issued a resolution firing head of the GBAO police department, Major-General Jabbor Sharipov.  Sharipov was retired for age reasons. 

Jabbor Sharipov was replaced by Abdullo Navjuvanov, who had previously headed the Drug Control Agency (DCA) directorate for Gorno Badakhshan.  

We will recall that Lieutenant-General Abdurahim Qahhorov, who was relieved of his post of First Deputy Interior Minister, was appointed to head the Sughd police department.
