DUSHANBE, December 26, Asia-Plus – New Health Minister Ranokhon Abdurahmonova has made fact-finding trip to the regions.
According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), the main purpose of this trip is for the minister to familiarize herself with work of medical facilities in the provinces.
During the visits to Fayzobod, Hissor and Khuroson districts, numerous problems related to providing medical aid to the population and providing medical facilities with heat, electricity and foodstuffs were revealed.
A source at a MoH said that local health authorities had been charged to take urgent measures to remove the existing shortcomings. “Appropriate letters have been sent to local authorities in these districts to take resolving these problems under their control,” the source said.
