DUSHANBE, December, Asia-Plus — The Dushanbe mayor’s office has organized a New Year’s performance at the Dushanbe Circus.

Some 2,000 pupils from the Dushanbe schools and orphanages are attending this performance that opened today morning.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the mayor, said that New Year’s presents will be given to the children on behalf of the mayor.  According to him, young Tajik variety singers and artistes of the Tajik circus are taking part in this New Year’s performance.  

Mayor Mahmadasaid Ubaidulloyev came to congratulate the children.
