DUSHANBE, January 4, Asia-Plus – The upcoming visit of President Rahmonov to China will result in signing of an agreement on friendship and cooperation, a telegram of congratulations sent by Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zaripov to his Chinese counterpart Li Zhaoxing on occasion of the 15

th

anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and China said.   

Zaripov noted that due to farsighted policy of the leaderships of the two countries cooperation between Tajikistan and China is actively expanding.    

For his part, China’s Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing noted in his telegram to Hamrokhon Zaripov that his country is ready to expand cooperation with Tajikistan in future as well.  

In the meantime, a source at president’s executive office said that Rahmonov will leave for Beijing for a state visit on January 15.  Rahmonov’s visit to China is expected to end with signing of a series of documents regulating further expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries, according to the source.
