DUSHANBE, January 16, Asia-Plus – Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev presided over a control meeting of the mayor’s office on January 15.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the meeting had considered issues related to supporting development of entrepreneurship and house building in the Tajik capital. 

The mayor demanded at the meeting that work on launching enterprises for producing building materials should be speeded up.  “The mayor noted that output produced these enterprises should be of high quality and meet requirements,” the spokesman said, noting that it was noted that proposals on this issue should be submitted by February 15.  

Besides, Deputy Mayor, Zokirjon Mukhuddinov, is to take under his control the construction of the projected facility in the place of the former market Rohi Abreshim and improvement of an area of the former shopping center Hamkoron, as well as intensify explanatory work among the population regarding the revised general plan of the capital city.  

For the purpose of providing safe traffic on the highway from Dushanbe to Qurghon Teppa relevant municipal services were tasked jointly with the Korvon market administration to resolve the problem of the construction of access road to the market, according to the spokesman.
