DUSHANBE, January 18, Asia-Plus – The Economic Review Magazine has announced the “Innovative Solutions in Business in Uzbekistan” competition.

A source at the Center for Economic Research (Uzbekistan) said in an interview with Asia-Plus that the competition is open for legal entities and individuals engaged in real sector and services including but not limited to small and private business, farming entities.  “The contest participants are not to be going through liquidation, insolvency, reorganization or suspension,” the source added.  

The contest includes nominations on: innovations in industrial production, agricultural production and services.  Participants of the contest may apply domestic inventions, foreign technologies, as well as proprietary inventions.

The winners are selected by the Expert Council in each nomination and they will be awarded by valuable prizes.

The main objective of the competition, supported by the Committee on Coordination of Science and Technology Development under the Uzbekistan Government, Indian Embassy to Uzbekistan and Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TICA) is in fostering innovative development drive within business environment of Uzbekistan and encouraging innovations in various sectors of economy.

The Central Asian Gateway (CAG) Project provides information support for this event.  The Project aims to facilitate the experience and knowledge exchange in the field of development and integration of Central Asia.

The CAG Project is implemented by the Center of Economic Research (Uzbekistan), Kyrgyzstan’s News Agency AKIpress and News Agency Asia-Plus in Tajikistan with support of the UNDP Regional Center (Slovakia) and UNDP COs in Central Asia.
