DUSHANBE, January 25, Asia-Plus – As a result of ongoing special anti-drug operation three alleged drug pushers have been detained and another some 18 kilograms of heroin have been intercepted, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

A source at a MoI said that officers from the Hamadoni police directorate on January 24 detained local resident Jangikhon Rajabov.  15 kilograms of heroin were confiscated from him. 

The same day, resident of Isfara Olim Shodiyev was detained in the Bobojonghafurov district on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.  500 grams of heroin were confiscated from him.  

On Wednesday, police also detained resident of Kulob Jamshed Amirkhonov in Dushanbe.  Some 2 kilograms of heroin were confiscated from him.
