DUSHANBE, February 7, Asia-Plus – Tajik part of a joint working group for the implementation of Tajik-Russian agreement on labor migration and protection of rights of Tajik citizens in Russia and Russian citizens in Tajikistan will hold an enlarged meeting in Dushanbe tomorrow, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MoLSS).

The meeting participants include representatives from the MoLSS, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Tajikistan, and the Russia Federal Migration Service Dushanbe Office.   

A source at a MoLSS said that the meeting is aiming to consider issues related to state of Tajik labor migrants in Russia after new federal laws on migration and status of foreigners in Russia had been adopted.  Participants at the meeting will also consider a progress of the preparation of a draft agreement on social insurance of labor migrants.
