DUSHANBE, March 20, Asia-Plus – Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev presided over a control meeting to discuss a number of construction projects on March 19.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that detailed reports on the construction of the Youth Palace and youth residential complex on the Hofiz Sherozi Street had been heard at the meeting.

The mayor noted that the construction of those facilities will pave the way for implementation of the Dushanbe general plan in Circle 1.

“The general plan will be implemented stage by stage within the framework of the country’s legislation and rights of holders of individual residential buildings located in Circle 1 will not be hurt,” the spokesman said.

The capital mayor assured that all householders, whose individual residential buildings are to be pulled down, will be provided with apartments in multi-story residential buildings within the bounds of Circle 1 or with plot of land for housing in the Khovaron area, according to the spokesman.

He noted that this decision also applies to residents of the Shota Rustaveli and Bokhtar Streets who had been resettled to other microrayons in connection with construction of administrative buildings.
