DUSHANBE, May 7, Asia-Plus – Issues related to regulating the use of ministerial vehicles and the use of cell phones and private cars at high schools were major topics of a May 4 meeting of President Emomali Rahmon with heads of the country’s law enforcement and power-wielding structures.  

According to press service of the Prosecutor-General’s Office, Tajik chief prosecutor and heads of other law enforcement agencies noted at the meeting that 38 ministerial vehicles were detained for untargeted use over one weekend [April 29] alone.  

“The head of state demanded at the meeting that the law enforcement agencies should tighten control of the implementation of appropriate decrees and resolutions by the president and the government,” the source said.
