DUSHANBE, June 12, Asia-Plus — Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ramazan Abdulatipov has congratulated Russian nationals and fellow-countrymen in Tajikistan on Russia’s Independence Day, which is marked on June 12.

Established in 1990, Independence Day is the newest of Russian national holidays.  “Seventeen years ago, a new page, reflecting an era of free and democratic development, was opened in history of Russia,” a message released by the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe said.

Foundation of real federal order of Russia was laid, and constitutional guarantees of rights of citizens and protection of their properties were provided, according to the Russian ambassador.  “Political and economic freedoms as well as human rights and dignity have become our main values,” Abdulatipov said.

Noting that Russia’s Day is a special holiday for all Russian nationals, the ambassador said that it is also holiday of friends and allies, who want to see Russia strong and prosperous.  “This can be felt in Tajikistan as well.”

“We have deep and indissoluble roots of cooperation and spiritual commonality,” the message by Abdulatipov said.  “Russian-Tajik relations that have actively developed over the past several years are evidence of this.”
