DUSHANBE, June 14, Asia-Plus – State regulation of realization and production of oil products will allow putting activity of refuel stations in order and regulating, to a certain extent, prices of gasoline, Nozirjon Solijonov, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Energy, Industry and Construction, said in an interview with Asia-Plus, commenting on a bill requiring state regulation of circulation of certain types of oil products.

According to him, oil products, circulation of which is subject to state regulation, include gasoline, diesel fuel and fuel oil.  “The law provides for establishment of an authorized body that will issue legal documents, monitor market of oil products and oversee level of production of oil products in the country and register companies dealing with delivery of these types of oil products,” Solijonov said.  Besides, this agency will also act as licensing body.

According to him, adoption of this law allows reducing cases of illegal purchase of fuel and “in the case of necessity, state, proceedings from its opportunities, may regulate prices of oil products by using its reserves.”
