DUSHANBE, August 13, Asia-Plus — On Saturday August 11, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Asadullo Ghulomov, presided over a meeting with participation of senior representatives from relevant ministries and organizations to discuss issues related to ensuring the regular work of the country”s economy during autumn-winter 2007-2008.
According to presidential press services, issues of providing the population, social and cultural facilities with coals and saving electricity were the major topics of the meeting.
Problems of providing the population with natural gas, passenger transport services and communal services were also discussed at the meeting.
For the purpose of maximally saving electricity it was recommended to restrict use of electrical appliances and heaters, as well as outdoor advertising boards during the period from October 1, 2007 to March 1, 2008.
