DUSHANBE, August 31, Asia-Plus — On Thursday August 30, President Emomali Rahmon bestowed the Order of Friendship on visiting Slovakian Foreign Minister Jan Kubis and expressed gratitude to him for his contribution to strengthening of peace and stability in Tajikistan, presidential press service said. 

In the course of the talks the two discussed state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Slovakia in different spheres, including trade, energy and industry, cultures, science and education.  

During the meeting it was noted that prospect of further expansion of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries will be considered at a session of a joint intergovernmental economic commission that will be held in the near future.  

Rahmon and Kubis also exchanged views on the present situation in Afghanistan and Central Asia.  

Slovakian minister arrived in Tajikistan yesterday on a two-day visit.
