DUSHANBE, September 7, Asia-Plus — About 35 companies from 18 countries are expected to participate in the 3rd international Tajikistan healthcare exhibition, formally titled “Healthcare – DIHE 2007, which will be held in Dushanbe on September 18-20, Asia-Plus has learned at press service of the Ministry of Health (MoH).  

Tajikistan’s MoH, Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and Dental Association have provided official support to the exhibition staged by ITE Exhibitions & Conferences Ltd and ITECA Osiyo.  

Healthcare sector is one of the most important in the development of provision of quality services to the population and improvement of social and economic life of the whole population of the country.  The exhibition DIHE is the only greatest demonstrative event in the country on medical equipment, technologies, up-to-date pharmaceuticals, medical devices and instruments and etc.  The exhibition attracts the potential investors as well as contributes to the development of cooperation, establishes contacts between Tajikistan and international business community.

The main sections of the “Healthcare – DIHE 2007” exhibition include pharmaceutics  (pharmaceutical products,  equipment for pharmaceutical industry, (herbal preparations, mineral food supplements & vitamins, dietetic foodstuff, homeopathic remedies, dermatological preparations, maternal and infant health care, infant’s feeding, personal hygiene products, single-use products for nursing care, and  veterinary medicine), medical equipment  (laboratory equipment and instruments, electro medical equipment/ devices, diagnostics, optical equipment and accessories, surgical instruments, first aid equipment, single-use materials for hospitals, orthopedic and rehabilitation equipment and clothing and linen), and stomatology (dental equipment and instruments, dental materials and medicaments, dental state-of-the-art technologies, dental furniture, X-ray equipment and materials, plastic surgery, oral hygiene, equipment for infection control, and implantation products).

Organizers expect the exhibition to bring together more than 5,000 representatives of the healthcare sphere from the CIS and other countries.  

The goal of the exhibition is contribution to the enterprises and organizations of Tajikistan in solution of the tasks on extension of the assortment of high-tech and competitive goods, realized at the internal and external markets, introduction of new technologies and equipment, development of international cooperation, attracting of investments to the health sector of the country, and finally, contribution to the development of the healthcare in the country.

Last year, more than 30 companies from 15 countries, including Germany, Kazakhstan, Byelorussia, Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Kyrgyz Republic, Ukraine, Japan, Austria, Hungary, India, France and some local companies from Tajikistan, were present during the 2nd Tajik exhibition “Healthcare – DIHE 2006”.  .
