DUSHANBE, September 18, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan’s State Air Company TajikAir has lowered passenger fares on some flights by some 6 percent.
The Tajik national air carrier said the new rates went into effect September 17 on the route from Moscow to Dushanbe.
A ticket for economy class cabin on the flight, previously 260 euros (US$364), now costs 247 euros (US$342). ”The introduction of the new rate is connected with a seasonal increase in passenger traffic from Moscow to Dushanbe,” Nazira Davlatova, a spokeswoman for TajikAir, said in an interview with Asia-Plus, noting that the cost of the ticket for business class cabin remains the same – US369.
The spokeswoman added that passenger fare from Dushanbe to Moscow remains the same – US$294 for economy class cabin and US$412 for business class cabin.
Tajik national airline now operates flights to five Russia’s cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, and Samara. Besides, TajikAir also operates flights to Tehran, New Delhi, Urumqi (China), Sharja (United Arab Emirates), Istanbul, Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), and Almaty (Kazakhstan).
