DUSHANBE, September 19, Asia-Plus — A roundtable meeting to sum up the results of the “School of Public Health (SPH)” project that has been implemented as part of the “Public Health” Program of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF) will be held in Dushanbe tomorrow.  

Rukhshona Olimova, media program coordinator and PR-specialist, Tajik Branch of OSI/AF, told Asia-Plus that the meeting participants will sum up the results of the project and discuss further moves in this direction.  

The meeting will also consider issues related to development of higher educational education in the field in public health, and role of SPH in health policy of different countries.

One of the main objectives of the School of Public Health project is establishment of the Public Health Faculty at Tajik State Medical University, Olimova said.  

Representatives from the ministries of education and health, Tajik Medical University, international organizations as well as specialists in the field of public health are expected to take part at the meeting.  

Olimova noted that Judith Overall (USA), consultant of the “School of Public Health” project, had been invited to conduct this event.
