DUSHANBE, September 21, Asia-Plus — Another new school has opened its doors to pupils in the Varzob district.

The school was constructed in the village of Durmanbuloq, some 36 kilometers of the district’s administrative center, due to the Catalytic Fund Grant.  A total cost of the project was 304,247 somonis.

Parviz Saidov, a spokesman for the project management unit at the Ministry of Education (MoE), said. that construction of school officially commenced on September 24, 2006 and the school was finished on September 15, 2007.  

The Catalytic Fund Grant project is aimed at development of education sector in Tajikistan.  The first tranche of this project has amounted to $9.2 million.
